Shikun & Binui – S.B.I. Infrastructure Ltd. is Shikun & Binui Group’s global infrastructures arm for the implementation of civil engineering, development and construction projects.

A Wide Range of Specialized Services
Public Works, Roads, Highways and Bridges: For 50 years the company has gained worldwide experience in projects including thousands of kilometers of highways, bridges and airport runways. A major part of S.B.I.’s activities focuses on turnkey projects. The company is responsible for all aspects of the projects, from feasibility studies through preliminary and detailed design, construction, procurement, installing and commissioning equipment, through to completing the project and delivering responsibility to the customer. S.B.I. develops and provides optimal solutions for each customer by combining technical expertise with its large ﬂeet of advanced machinery and equipment.
Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants, Hydro-Technical Development and Construction: In response to the growing global demand for water supply solutions due to dwindling worldwide water resources, and adhering to the Shikun & Binui Group’s commitment to a sustainable environment, SBI applies the extensive experience it has gained and its technological expertise in a broad range of areas related to water. The company is a leading enterprise in implementing solutions for the global water crisis. S.B.I. offers engineering services, procurement, construction and management of individual and complex projects in all ventures related to water and wastewater. These include: dams, tunnels, ground level and elevated reservoirs, boreholes and wells, water towers, main and reticulation conduits, as well as drainage solutions and water and wastewater treatment plants.
Telecommunications Infrastructures: Innovative telecommunications infrastructures are a vital source of socio-economic empowerment and progress in developing countries. As part of the Group’s leading approach, S.B.I. sees itself responsible for improving the lives of people influenced by the projects in which it is involved, among other things, by implementing innovative telecommunications infrastructures.
Quarries and Aggregates Processing: As a veteran company rich in experience in the infrastructures sector with projects designed to serve populations over the long-term, S.B.I. sees great importance in the quality of raw materials used in its projects. To ensure the timely provision of adequate quantities of the highest quality materials, S.B.I. operates in areas that interface with the infrastructures sector: quarries, crushing plants, aggregates production, and manufacturing and laying asphalt and concrete.
Power Stations: S.B.I.’s ability to combine advanced technology with human capabilities enables the company to realize its abilities in the ﬁeld of renewable energy, as part of its ability and to cope with complex environmental challenges. S.B.I.’s exceptional reputation has resulted in the building of HEP power plants in Guatemala: El Canada 45MW and Monte Cristo 12MW, XACBAL 94MW for $100 million, and Palo Viejo 84MW for $150 million.
For example, Guatemala’s El Canada project which supplies 46MW and is powered by two turbines, turned by HEP, was built by S.B.I. in a record time of two years. S.B.I. was the EPC contractor for the project with General Electric and ABB as subcontractors to implement electromechanical systems.
