Leumi and the Community
One hundred years after its establishment, Leumi established “Leumi Tomorrow – The Centennial Fund for Endowing Israel’s Future Generation.” This fund supports educational projects and works towards the reduction of gaps in Israeli society, and equal opportunities. The Fund also supports the “Atidim” and “Youth Leading Change – Follow Me” foundations, which help nurture learning and leadership among the youth.
Leumi has sponsored and supported the “Young Entrepreneurs” project since its establishment in 1989. Tens of thousands of Israeli youth have already taken part in the challenging project of setting up a “small business” based on their own creative thinking and innovations.
Leumi is the first financial body in Israel that has been implementing a policy of environmental responsibility as part of its continuous process to promote social responsibility. In 2008, Leumi inaugurated the First Green Leading Management Building – the first banking building in Israel to comply with the Standards Institution of Israel and receive the 5281 stamp of approval for green construction.
